One of the first THEODOR tea shops : Picorette Granville

What if we made a little stop in Normandie, and especially in Granville to discover there a tea room for all kind of tea lovers...

Following a visit of the Mont Saint Michel and a little stroll, let's set foot into what was one of the very first THEODOR tea shops, welcoming us warmly to allow us to discover its different tea faces.

Meeting of a tea enthusiast and a tea creator: Picorette x THEODOR

Managed by Evelyne Adam, this place of gustatory pleasures located at 24 rue Saint Sauveur in Granville, is opened every day tuesdays to saturdays between 10:00am and 07:00pm in order to plunge you into a universe of tea and greediness and to make your getaway a true moment of happiness. The owner reveals to us that she is above all "a mum, a granny who loves tea, the sea, everyday life..." and Picorette welcomes you in this warm and authentic spirit.

Her great love story with THEODOR house has started during year 2004, during July of this year, the Impertinent Parisian was starting his adventure as a young flavored tea creator... Memories filled with emotion which were highlighted by discussions, exchanges... By listening to Guillaume Leleu's project, the values his was putting forward and was persisting in defending with enthousiasm and involvment, the whole with talent and by offering great quality teas, this one standing for and essential and inescapable element for Picorette tea room's manager, Evelyn allowed herself to be convinced and started the adventure. She describes the Impertinent Parisian as a creative, passionate and captivating person, and their encounter gave her the desire and the oppurtunity to take part in this tea adventure, in which she is still taking part today, 12 years after this first encounter...

So, you will discover 'Picorette x THEODOR Granville' in Granville, a seaside resort located on the Channel coast and which was the creation of William the Conqueror [Guillaume in French] (Is it really a coincidence that this surname is also the same as THEODOR tea house's founder...?), in a pedestrian street leading to the marina...

When you open the door of this shop, you will be plunged into a delicious blend of perfumes and will hurry to discover the different faces of this place;

- a sumptuous tea room where you can savor your favorite infusions through a rich and greedy tea menu, satisfying all kind of palate,
- also offering a savory menu in its restaurant area, where many tourists and regular customers come to enjoy (or to pick up, as the House also offers take outs) home-made seasonal specialties and pastries. As it is located by the sea, fish takes the place of honor through the proposed savory meals, changing according to the season, such as for instance quiches with sea flavors... And any good meal has to end on a sweet note with a little pastry only Picorette knows how to do, with fruit, almond or even vanilla flavors... through a chocolate fondant, scones or tarte tatin... There is something to suit every taste!
- and of course, you will also discover a tea house area, where you can go off to discover new blends by enjoying the perfumes escaping from the big lacquered white tins preciously put on the shelves... among more than 140 different teas and infusions! Without forgetting the precious pieces of advice given by the sellers at the counter, accompanying you throughout your selection of teas or infusions, according to your mood or to help you make the most beautiful gift for one tea lover that is dear to you...
